MOH exploring secure platform to analyse healthcare tech data

The Ministry of Health will explore the possibility of providing a secure platform that will analyse technological data gathered from healthcare institutions. It may sit on top of an information technology architecture which can link up data sources from public healthcare institutions and partner healthcare organisations. This announcement was made at the 2nd International Conference on Big Data and Analytics in Healthcare which was organised by NUS’ Centre for Health Informatics (CHI) and the NUS School of Computing’s Department of Information Systems.

NUS takes top prize in contest on risk awareness

Information systems students Rahul Gupta and Koh Shunyuan; Electronic Commerce student Yeo Yi Nah; and Business Administration student Koh Kian Sin have won the inaugural Deloitte Risk Intelligence Challenge trophy, an inter-university competition aimed at raising risk awareness among undergraduates who will soon enter the workforce.

First year NUS Computing student Adrian Tan suffers from celebral palsy but has not allowed his condition to stop him from pursuing a degree programme in computing. He was awarded the Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities last year. Mr. Anand Ramchand, an instructor at NUS Computing, has described Adrian as being "lively and cheerful" and having a desire to learn.
