Information and communication technologies (ICT) have dramatically changed the work environment and the way companies operate and compete. For example, advances in task collaboration systems provide team working and learning mechanisms for globally distributed teams. Emerging technologies such as cloud computing, Internet-of-Things (IoT), and big data analytics are reshaping the entire process by which companies create and deliver their products and services. Knowing how ICT affects individuals, businesses, and society is fundamental for designing improved IT systems and solutions.
