24 November 2015 – NUS Computing teams won silver and bronze medals at the 2015 ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Phuket Regional last week.

Second year Computer Science students Vu Dinh Quang Dat and Bui Do Hiep, and third year student Duong Thanh Dat, formed Team 2Ez2ac. They solved 10 of the 12 problems presented, placed fifth and won the silver medal. They faced intense competition from dominant university teams from China, Taiwan and Vietnam, that are regular World Finalists.

 The bronze medal winning team, Game of Throws, comprised of third year students Nguyen Viet Dung and Nguyen Huu Thanh, and first year student Nguyen Quang Dung. The solved eight problems and placed 10th overall.

Team 2Ez2ac and the winners of the Jakarta Regional, Team RRwatameda, will face off in the upcoming ACM ICPC Singapore Regional, for the opportunity to representing NUS and Singapore at the ACM ICPC World Finals in May 2016.
