Professor Ng See Kiong

Department of Computer Science

Prof. Ng joined the Department of Computer Science as a Professor of Practice on 19 October 2016. He is also Deputy Director of the NUS Institute of Data Science. Prof. Ng received his PhD in Computer Science and BS in Applied Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University, USA in 1998 and 1989 respectively and his MSE in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, USA in 1990. Prior to joining NUS, Dr Ng was the Director of Strategic Alliances (2013-2016) at A*STAR, the Program Director of the Urban Systems Initiative by the Science and Engineering Research Council of the Agency of Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), and a Principal Scientist and the Advisor to the Data Analytics Department at I2R that he founded in 2005.

Assistant Professor Lee Gim Hee

Department of Computer Science

Dr. Lee obtained his PhD in Computer Science at ETH Z├╝rich, Switzerland in 2014. He was a researcher at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL), USA from June 2014 to July 2015, and was an assistant professor at the NUS Faculty of Engineering from Aug 2015 to Dec 2016. Dr Lee's research interests are in the area of visual perception, mapping and pose estimation for autonomous robots (self-driving cars and micro-aerial vehicles).
