NUS Student Exchange Programme (SEP) provides students with the opportunity to study in an overseas partner university, usually for a semester or two, with approval of the School, to further enhance their learning experience. Students from either partner university pay fees only at their home institution while on exchange. The new experience provided by SEP is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will enrich the life of the student forever. Some of the partner universities include Uppsala University, University of British Columbia, McGill University, University of California, University of Melbourne and University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Our students share their experience while on SEP ...

I am extremely grateful to have embarked on this amazing journey. SEP has taught me that there is much more to meaning of life than our current perspectives.

As someone who has never travelled outside South Asia, this was a wonderful experience, one that truly made me feel free and independent.

University of Michigan follows a work hard, play hard policy. GO BLUE! They are very passionate and pour lots of energy into sports and many different activities. From weekly parties to group study sessions, I absolutely loved the American culture where everyone were super-friendly and open. It made me appreciate how important small talks and compliments can be. Moreover, I had a chance to interact with other international students too! To make the most of my stay abroad, I travelled around the states which includes Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Chicago!

Ultimately, I would say that mere words cannot describe the things I have experienced and I would highly recommend you to go on SEP. Trust me, you will be thanking yourself. Make meaningful memories, learn life lessons, absorb various cultures and do not be afraid to dare, life is too short!
