Faculty:  SCHOOL OF COMPUTING Semester:  2
Module:SOFTWARE ENGINEERING ON MODERN APPLICATION PLATFORMS - CS3217
Activity Type:LECTURE

Q9  What are the teacher's strengths?
1.Willing to break status quo.
2.The topics of software engg. were not only taught theoretically, but the assignments designed enabled me to experience software engg. in a real world scenario. Prof Ben can teach excellently and the thing which matter is that he loves what he does. When he teaches, his passion and interest which he shows in teaching is unparalleled to anyone else I've seen in NUS.
3.very strong field knowledge; very efficient
4.Inspirational. Gives logical advice. Interesting topics prepared for lectures.
5.Available for most of the time to get feedback. Quick to response in the forum.
6.Great lectures Inspiring
7.Very wise and good teacher.
8.Great vision for SoC to try to groom elite programmers.
9.Ability to make students learn a lot through suffering.
10.Giving lectures Good lectures, although all my friends asked "What's the relation between running a country and software engineering?"
11.Cool, exciting lecturer :) Different from other lecturers in NUS.
12.He's very charismatic, knowledgeable and fun. He's also very nice when providing us with lots of food when we have to work hard :D
13.Very inspiring and dedicated professor. Take good care of all the students in the class. Not only teach software engineering lessons but also life lessons, and they are all useful and inspiring. Life experience is also provided so that students have sufficient knowledge of real life software engineering project. Provide students to do what they really want and think really matters, and inspire students to work harder and harder until the end. Best professor ever.
14.Prof encourages us to learn from the practice. He also gave very useful feedback (such as the best/worst codes) for us to improve our learning.

Q10  What improvements would you suggest to the teacher?
1.None! You are AWESOME!! :)
2.don't put too much pressure on students. some student's potential may not be able to be dig up under all those workloads and pressure.
3.Keep it up.
4.Recognize the existence of other modules.
5.Build up more contents for some of the lecture slides. The contents between different lecture notes are currently quite jumpy - would help a lot to have slides that link and related to one another.
6.Choose better tutors.
7.Could structure his lectures more effectively.
8.Be more kind to students (in terms of workload :p)
9.Stabilize emotion, don't sometimes be too fierce =(
10.He is a bit too demanding and requires too much works from students :(
11.Nil.
