AY2023/24 Semester 2
Continual Assessment - Term Tests
Term Test
- Date: 13 March 2024, Wednesday
- Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm (arrive 20 minutes before 6:30pm)
(Duration of test is 1 hour 30 minutes; the test will start at 6:30pm and end at 8:00pm.)
- Venue: MPSH1A
- See "Seating Plans" section below for the seating plan in MPSHs.
- See your allocated seat here.
- See Question paper first page and
Answer sheets sample.
- It is an open-book test. You may bring in any written/printed materials,
but no electronic devices (laptop, ipad, etc.) Calculators are allowed.
- Topics: All materials covered in the first 6 weeks of lectures [up to and including
Lecture 6: Relations (Partial Orders)], and tutorials 1 to 5.
- Format of paper: 15 MCQs (30 marks) and 4 questions (20 marks).
- Instructions (subject to changes):
- Please arrive at the venue at least 20 minutes before
the start of the test and wait outside for instruction to enter the hall.
- Bring along your Student Card and place it on your desk.
- You are required to write and shade your Student Number on
the Answer Sheet. Very important: Make sure
your Student Number is correct! Or you will receive zero mark.
- Bring along your own blank papers for your rough work and for submitting
your queries to the invigilator.
- You may write your answers in pencil (use 2B or above) or pen (with dark ink).
Do not use red pen.
- Only written/printed materials are allowed to be brought into
the venue. You are to put your bag/belongings below your desk/chair.
- Calculators are allowed (but we don't think they will be of much use).
- Apart from calculators, no electronic devices are allowed.
- Please note that hot beverages or sweetened drinks in takeaway cups are not allowed
inside the MPSH.
- Students who arrive later than 6:45pm will not be permitted to take the
test and will receive zero mark for the test.
- Read the instructions on the first page of the question paper carefully
and follow the instructions given out by the invigilator.
- During the test, you may raise your hand if you need clarification
on any question. You may write your query on a piece of paper and pass it to your invigilator.
Your query will be answered with one of these
responses: "Yes", "No", or "No Comment". So, please phrase your question
clearly. Some of the reasons you may get a "No Comment" include (but
not restricted to): giving out a yes/no answer would reveal too much
information; you are expected to know the answer; the answer is
already given in the test question; your query is irrelevant to
the question; your query is incomprehensible; your query has multi-parts.
- If you have any queries about the test, please post on Canvas Discussions or QnA.
We will not answer any queries posted elsewhere (eg: emails, telegram) to ensure that all
students get consistent answers to their queries at one place.
