Professor Beng Chin Ooi as Program Lead of new $12M Singapore Blockchain Innovation Programme

Funded by NRF, Singapore Blockchain Innovation Programme (SBIP) aims to align blockchain technology research with the needs of the industry. It undertakes a mission to strengthen Singapore’s blockchain ecosystem and facilitate the development, commercialisation and adoption of blockchain technology for real-world applications.

The core of the SBIP blockchain ecosystem is based on the research outcomes from the NUS Database System Research lab. The novelty and application prospects of this research are well-recognized in academia, being published in top-tier journals and international conferences.

The Programme was launched jointly by Enterprise Singapore (ESG), the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and the National Research Foundation (NRF).
