In Kuching for our wedding (22rd February: counting down to 1st March....)

Quite an uneventful day, I must say. Nice beautiful Saturday on quiet ol' Kuching. It was a day spent pottering around the house. So I decide to take some pictures of the garden and the house. Might come in handy if I need to sell the house some day on the Internet! We start off with some greenery.

Lemongrass or 'serai', used to flavour tangy dishes like assam fish.

Clumps of fragrant pandan leaves.

Mum's proud produce. The prolific lemon tree. I was drinking a jar of lemonade every day.

Sugar apple. Squirrels' and birds' favourite. We seldom get to eat because the animals get to them first. Sigh!

Don't know how to call this. They're a cross between the soursop and the sugar apple. Not so sour, and much less seeds. The best of both species of fruits! Maybe they're called sugarsops?

Our new storehouse.

Backyard.

Beautiful flowers.

Interior of kitchen.

Living room.

Nice flowers.

The next door neighbor's yam.

Flower again.. I'm poor at recognizing flowers.

Frontal view of the house.

Ah... the gate was blocking, so I slid it open.

The garage. Fits two cars.

My old beauty.

Guess what's this?

Neighbour's coconut palm

My trusty old bike. Makes me recall the good ol' days.

The neighbour's dwarf dog. Never seems to grow up.

“Toad” grass, good for soothing coughs.

Mum trying to show off.

There, the secret's revealed. Mum's proud chillies.

Clumps of pandan.
