Pedra Branca can be reached on a day-trip on a sailing boat from Singapore. To reach this Singaporean island, located 24 nautical miles east of the main island of Singapore, and get back on the same day, you need to exploit the tidal streams. The timing should be such that it changes direction from W-E to E-W around 1pm. These pictures are of a trip to Pedra Branca on 17/5/2009 by sailing friends Derek (skipper and owner of the Blue Eagle), Adi, Boris, Florian, Stuart and me.

Pedra Branca means "white rock", referring to the bird shit that used to cover it
