I have served on the Executive Committee (Exco) of the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) since 1994, under three different Presidents, Juzar Motiwalla, Alex Siow, and now Martin Tsang.

  • Assist in Competitions for SEARCC'2002 (Indonesia) -- | ISSC Competition |
  • 2000
  • Helped formulate the inaugural SCS IT Youth Award, led by Chak.
  • Invited by PCS (Philippines Computer Society) to organize and run the ISC'2000 in Manila for SEARCC'2000.

  • 1999
  • For 1999, a most exciting event for the SCS has to be the very successful SEARCC'99 conference and convention held 1-3 December 1999 in Singapore. (SEARCC'99 is the 18th annual conference for the South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation. SEARCC.) For SEARCC'99, I was the Technical Programme Chair as well as Chairman of the Student Competitions where I also ran the ISSC'99.

  • I served on the Professional Validation Board of the inaugural Singapore National IT Project Management Certification Programme, an effort spearheaded by the SCS and with the support of the National Computer Board (NCB).

  • 1994-1998
    During this period, I have served as the Advisor to the Young Professional Group (YPG), on the Conference committee. He is on the Organizing Committee of the SCS Conference 1995 and the upcoming 1998 SCS IT Symposium on 2nd October.


    Annual SCS Membership Drive
    Every year, SCS organizes a Membership Drive Campaign. During this campaign, the usual SCS entrance fee is waived. New member who sign up and the introducer also stand a chance to win attractive prizes.
