USRP for 1997/98
About the USRP and SPD
Students in the SPD programme for 1997/98 are required to
USRP (Undergraduate Science Research Programme) projects --
unless there are special reasons.
(Those with special reasons should see the SPD Coordinator.)
The USRP is a programme run by the Science Faculty.
The department coordinator for ISCS is
Dr. Wang Ke (wangk).
Note: In submitting your USRP application form, please be sure to
indicate that you wish to do your USRP project with the Department of ISCS.
Else, you might end up doing research projects in other disciplines.
(However, if that is what you strongly wish to do, you probably can too.
Please discuss it with the SPD coordinator.)
Some pertinent information on USRP.
- One student per project.
- Student should see the supervisors to ask about the project.
- Projects are to be assigned to students by the supervisors.
- Students can also propose projects -- in that case, they need
to find a prospective supervisor willing to supervise the project.
These students are advised to see the SPD coordinator or the
USRP coordinator who can help suggest supervisors.
