Starting from academic year 2008/09, the course CS5206 replaced CS5234.

Undergraduates can take CS5206 if they have the pre-requisite, namely CS3230. In 2008, 10 places has been set aside for undergraduates who want to take CS5206.

A new seminar-style course, CS6234 Advanced Algorithms, was introduced and CS6234 is a natural follow-on for CS5206 for those who want to learn advanced algorithms.
