S.R.A.T. Puzzles

The Original

Around 1993, Jim Propp invented the "Self-Referential Aptitude Test", or short SRAT. This quiz is intesting because almost all of its questions are about the quiz itself. And here the solution.

Some remarks on the riddle:

The fact that only one choice point is needed nicely reflects the intention of the author that "the solution should be found without too much trial and error" (private communication with Jim Propp).
We assumed the answer to question 20 to be E. If the answer to the last question is left open, there are 4 solutions.
The solution is still unique, when the information in questions 7, 10, 12, 13, 16 and 17 is not used. However, not using these questions makes the problem considerably harder: with the same search strategy, 19 choice points are required.

Variations

Using Oz, we came up with several other puzzles of the S.R.A.T. kind.

A rather simple puzzle is SRQ. And here the solution. The puzzle SRQ, its formulation in propositional logic and its solution in Oz is documented in the paper "Don't Be Puzzled!".
A real toughie is Small SRAT. And here the solution.
