Entering Indonesia without any visa is possible now only for nationals of the following 11 countries and territories: Brunei Darussalam, Chile, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Citizens of the above countries will be issued on arrival a stay permit for 30 days free of charge upon presentation of a passport which is valid at least for another 6 months. This stay permit cannot be extended or converted into another type of visa.

Residents of certain countries are not required to purchase a VOA. Residents of certain other countries are not eligible for VOA and must apply for a visa through their Indonesian Consulate. This facility is now available for nationals of the following countries: Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Libya, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, People's Republic of China, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Suriname, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

On arrival at Denpasar's Ngurah Rai Airport you will leave the plane and head to the immigration hall. Once there, you will find the Visa on Arrival (VOA) booth on the rear wall on your left as you walk in. Line up at one of the queues to purchase your visas.

If you enter Indonesia by another airport, you will have to apply for the VOA at that particular airport before you can travel on a domestic flight. The process is the same.

Visa On Arrival (VOA) will cost $25 USD per person for a stay of up to 30 days. As of the 26/10/2010 this is the only visa available to purchase on arrival, there is no longer a 7 day visa available. Children are not exempt from having to have a VOA.

An official bank is part of the VoA service counters. Payment of visa fees can be made in US Dollar or Indonesia Rupiah. Credit cards are NOT accepted.
