Phd Students

Mihai Pricopi

Mihai is a Ph.D. candidate working on Dynamic Heterogeneous Computer Architectures, Asymmetric Architectures, Embedded Systems and Energy Efficiency in the Dark Silicon Era. His major work is focussed on the Bahurupi heterogeneous processor architecture which allows multi-cores to adapt dynamically creating more complex cores. He is also working on scheduling techniques for asymmetric and dynamic heterogeneous architectures that are able to exploit the energy efficiency of such systems. Mihai came to NUS in 2009 after receiving his Master of Computer Engineering in Advanced Computing Architectures. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering at Faculty of Automatic Control and Computing Engineering of Iasi, Romania.

Chen Liang

Liang Chen is a Ph.D. candidate in Embedded Systems at NUS. His recent research focuses on design automation technologies for reconfigurable Multi-processor System on Chip (MPSoC). His interests include seamless integration architecture designs for accelerators and normal processors, efficient compilation techniques for coarse grained reconfigurable arrays (CGRAs), and resource sharing in MPSoC.

Thannirmalai Somu Muthukaruppan

Malai is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at School of Computing. His research interests lie in the broad areas of computer architecture and embedded systems, with specific focus on energy, thermal and reliability management.

Ding Huping

Ding Huping is a PhD candidate in School of Computing, National University of Singapore. He got a B.E. in Computer Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, 2008. His research interests are mainly on computer architecture, and cache analysis in real-time system.

Ijaz Ahmad

Ijaz is a PhD candidate at School of Computing, NUS. He obtained his Bachelors in Computer and Information Sciences from Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences , Islamabad. His research is in Bahurupi heterogeneous processor architecture.

Zhong Guanwen

Guanwen joined the group in August 2012 as a first-year PhD candidate in Computer Science. He obtained his B.S in Microelectronics from Sun Yat-sen University. His research interests involve high performance computer architecture, partial reconfiguration and embedded system.
