// About Me
I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Computing (SoC), National University of Singapore (NUS). I earned my Ph.D. at SoC, NUS in 2024. Prior to that, I completed my B.Eng. in Computer Science from Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in 2019.
My research builds cost-efficient algorithms for complex systems: keeping quality on par while cutting the cost — whether that cost is computation time or money. It runs along two threads:
- Technical thread — cost-efficient algorithms, from graphs to efficient AI: my work has followed the growth of system complexity: starting from large-scale graphs and social networks, moving to LLM-powered systems, and now to agent teams and agent networks. Across all of them the goal is the same — provable guarantees that quality stays intact while computation and monetary cost drop by orders of magnitude.
- Application thread — marketing and growth, built on understanding and influence: I am drawn to scenarios where an entity's behavior is first understood and then influenced — and that entity has evolved from humans to AI. For humans: understanding user behavior and modeling how people influence people — social proximity, social influence, and viral sharing. For AI: understanding how generative engines perceive users and brands, and influencing the responses they generate — generative engine optimization (GEO) and generative engine marketing (GEM).
