"LET go of me....you....you witch!" Phantom Stalker struggled against the rope that was holding her imprisonment. She couldn't figure out how she got tied up in the first place. The last thing she remembered before she lost consciousness was that she was swimming towards the beautiful girl now standing in front of her grinning in a horrible way. Phantom Stalker couldn't imagine how she could've thought her as pretty before. Now, the girl resembles more like a witch than her long-lost sister. We shall now pause for a brief summary of the plight of Phantom Stalker's poor sister, who was an extremely beautiful girl, who looked a lot like Cha Cha (which was why Phantom Stalker jumped head-first into the pool without thinking) but who unfortunately disappeared from Arkham a few years ago while she was picking mushrooms one day. Nobody knew what happened to her and it was as if she simply vanished into thin air. Up till now, Phantom Stalker still habours the hope that her beloved sister is still alive, and that she will be able to find her one day. Anyway, back to the story. "I have been looking for someone to dance with me. Would you dance cha cha with me?" Cha Cha stood in front of Phantom Stalker and asked. Phantom Stalker had no idea what the girl was talking about. For starters, she doesn't know what is cha cha. However, in her present situation, it would be extremely unwise of her to contradict her captor. So, she tried to stall for time, hoping that the rest of our warriors would rescue her in time. "Err..I would, but how am I going to if you tie me up like this?" Phantom Stalker put on her sweetest smile. "You are right. But, you would try to run away the minute I set you free and I would have no one to dance with me anymore." Cha Cha looked as though she was going to burst into tears any minute. Phantom Stalker couldn't believe her eyes. Why, she should be the one wailing now, not Cha Cha. She decided that this is the most bizzare moment of her life and tried to comfort her captor instead. Unfortunately, the more she tried, the worse her sobbings got. Finally, Phantom Stalker gave up. She kept quiet and tried to think about how to get out of her present predicament. "No one wants to dance with...with me...oh..all of you have no idea how lonely it is to stay here....all alone.....I'm all...all alone.." Cha Cha sniffed and started a fresh torrent of tears again. Phantom Stalker gave up trying to think. It's virtually impossible with all that crying. Suddenly, she had an idea. "Why don't you untie me and we can go to Arkham together?" Cha Cha stopped crying. She stared at Phantom Stalker as though she thought she had lost her mind. "But...but this is my home! I've never been out of here all my life!" Phantom Stalker couldn't imagine anyone being cooped up in a dark cave all her life, let alone a beautiful girl like Cha Cha. She decided to find out more about this girl's strange life. It turned out that Cha Cha was brought up by a witch who loved to dance cha cha. Actually, that was how Cha Cha got her name. The witch was evil and would force any innocent passerbys to dance with her till they die of exhaustion. Poor Cha Cha was brought up dancing and she didn't know anything else other than dancing. "So, the tale about Cha Cha being the evil witch isn't true at all. You weren't responsible for those poor travellers' death. That witch was." Phantom Stalker felt sorry for the pitiful girl who has never known the beauty of sunshine, who has never seen the flowers and all the facinating animals out in the wild. She is determined to bring Cha Cha back to Arkham with her. Cha Cha finally set Phantom Stalker free. After all, she is the only person who has bothered to find out her story. Both of them walked out of the cave just in time to see our warrior team approaching them from a distance. |
