Selected papers will be invited for the Special Issue of ALT 2017 in the journal Theoretical Computer Science.

E. M. Gold Award.
One scholarship of EUR 555 will be awarded to a student author of an excellent paper; this paper can be coauthored by other researchers. This year's winner is

joint with Dana Angluin.
The E.M. Gold Award has been awarded since 1999.


The conferences Algorithmic Learning Theory (ALT 2017) and Discovery Science (DS 2017) are supported by the programme CREST of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

ALT 2018 is on Lanzarote, Spain, co-located with AISTATS and takes place on 7-9 April 2018; note the shift from autumn to spring. The deadline is 27 October 2017.
