The Sequel: Part 4

TWO-FACE rarely lost his temper but this was too much. Pulling cactus torns from his fingers, he sweared. Cactus wasn't co-operating either. She kept shifting everywhere whenever Two-Face tried to get his hands on her.

Wet and thoroughly exhausted, he gave up trying to trap the cactus.

At least my coin is still with me, Two-Face thought with a smile.

Two-Face owns a coin that he always tosses whenever he can't make
a decision (basically all the time).

Seeing that her captor has given up, Cactus hummed a tune to him.

"Oh the mighty Two-Face has fallen
Watch him as he falls
Falling from grace
He who seeks the impossible
Will get no more than what he deserves
Not an ailment he suffers from
Dying he claims to be
When all he needed was a good ol' swim"

Eyeing the gloating cactus, Two-Face realized that she was right. He was feeling much better and he hadn't even tasted the cactus. He decided that he was to banish the stupid guy who claimed that eating the cactus of Darkfire would cure him, just as soon as he get back to his palace.

Two-Face looked around him and wondered where he was. Beyond the delta, he could see a house with a smoking chimney. He decided to visit the house and get help.

"Are you coming with me or do I leave you here?" Two-Face glowered at the cactus. Cactus remained still as Two-Face wrapped her up in a sack he found abandoned at the bank of the longkang.

By the time he reached the little house with the smoking chimney, the sky had turned dark. Giving the door a soft knock, Two-Face waited.

Nobody answered.

Two-Face heard a giggling sound inside the sack. Irritated with the cactus and the housekeeper, he swung the sack and sent it crashing against the door.

"That should get some attention." Two-Face smiled in satisfaction as he glanced at the splintered doorframe.

We shall not go into the details of Cactus' welfare as some of
        our readers may be underaged.

Inside the house, warm food was ready on the table. Two-Face heard his stomach growling but having already deprived the owner of his door, he didn't want to deprive him of his dinner as well.

This may sound suspiciously like Goldilocks and the Three Bears but it is
        far from it.

Two-Face headed for the window and looked out.

"What a beautiful night. The moon is so round and bright."

"Of course it is bright. With me around, you won't ever see a cloudy night."

Two-Face turned at the sound of a third party.

"I'm Moony. And I guess you must be the one responsible for my door, or whatever that is left of it."

Two-Face straightened and explained that nobody answered his knock on the door. Moony refused to listen and beat him to a blue pulp with her hammer. By the time she was done with him, the sun had risen.

Sunshinee threw her hammer down to eat her cold dinner. She blamed Two-Face for it. Two-Face didn't say anything. He was too busy nursing his faces which had been rearranged quite badly.

        ---------------------------Glossary for readers----------------------------
Sunshinee aka Moony holds a karate black belt. She owns a blue hammer and
beats anyone into a pulp if he or she does not agree with her.

"Speak. What are you doing here?" Sunshinee turned the full blast of her sunny rays at Two-Face.

Speaking with bruised lips was a feat but Two-Face managed to explain his presence.

Sunshinee decided that facing an unanswered door knock was no excuse for anyone to run the door down.

"You are going to atone for destroying my door before you leave here."

Trying to open his half-closed swollen eyes, Two-Face argued that she had already beaten him to near death. Apparently she was not going to be reasonable about this.

"You are going to sit here and grow sunflowers for me. Until they bloom, you will not leave here. If you even try, I'll beat you again!"

        ---------------------------Warning to readers-----------------------------
To preserve Two-Face's pride and the author's life, we shall not go into
the details about whether he grew sunflowers in Sunshinee's house.
Let us return to our 5 warriors, who are still staring into the 2 crystal
        apples.
