Nominations

Students who wish to run for the election need to complete and submit a set of nomination forms. Please take note of the nomination details below carefully.

Nomination Period

  • 14 - 20 August, 3.30pm - 5.30pm at Computing Club Committee Room 1 (COM1-02-43)
  • Closes sharp at 20 August 5.30pm

The Election Committee reserves the rights to reject any application submitted thereafter.

Nomination Procedure

Proposer and Seconder.

All Nominees must be supported by a Proposer and a Seconder.

Eligibility.

All full-time matriculated undergradutes of the School of Computing are eligible to run for office, propose or second a candidate, and vote.

Nomination Forms.

Forms are available in the emails sent by the Election Committee, or can be downloaded from below.

Additional items to submit

  • Photocopies of matriculation cards for Nominee, Proposer and Seconder.
  • Passport size photograph of Nominee.
  • Candidates running for the position of NUSSU Representative are required to submit the NUSSU Election Form as well.

Verification

We prefer that Nominees bring along their Proposer and Seconder to sign the forms on the spot, as we can then verify their identity and intention to propose and second immediately. Otherwise we will contact them through their Unix email accounts.
