IOMS

Summer Workshop in Industrial Organization and Management Strategy

The Summer Workshop in Industrial Organization and Management Strategy (IOMS) was initiated by Chong-en Bai, Ivan Png, Guofu Tan, and Changqi Wu. The aim of the workshop is to provide a regional forum for high-quality research in the fields of IO and strategy. The first workshop was planned for 2003 at Peking University, but was postponed to 2004 owing to SARS. Since then, IOMS has been held annually.

IOMS 2008
IOMS 2009 will be hosted by Tsinghua University from Tuesday, June 16 to Wednesday, June 17, 2009. The program will last 1.5 days (whole day Tuesday, half day Wednesday).

In past years, a key factor in the success of the IOMS has been active participation by all in both presentation and discussion. The workshop capacity is deliberately limited to foster close and lively interaction and attendance throughout the workshop.

Accommodation: We have made a block booking at group rates at Tsinghua Unisplendour International Center, effective until April 30 only. From May 1, no rooms are guaranteed.
- Location: Zhongguancun East Road (near the east gate of Tsinghua University, about 5 minute walk from workshop location)
- Room Types:
  - Superior Standard Room (15 rooms): 415RMB plus taxes;
  - Executive King Bed Room (10 rooms): 470RMB plus taxes.
Workshop location: Multi-Function Hall, 4th floor of Shunde Building, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. University map will be available later.
