Course Overview

The course serves as a culmination for the Professional Certificate programme, providing hands-on experience through a collaborative guided project. Participants will integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills, going through the process of requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Emphasis would be placed on using current technologies, and how to develop robust and adaptable systems.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Synthesise theoretical knowledge gained from earlier courses with practical skills to develop a cohesive software solution.
Put into practice the three aspects of software engineering:
a) requirements analysis and design
b) implementation and testing
c) deployment and maintenance.
Understand the difference in the execution process of different applications and how it relates to software architecture designs.
Implement a modular software design that can easily incorporate Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interface (API) and relational database endpoints.
Implement test suites and understand the importance of automated testing in the software development process.

Job Role Readiness

Software architects, software engineers, technical leads and project managers with technical background.
