Zhiyong is a Senior Member of both IEEE and ACM, and
a Pioneer Member of ACM SIGGRAPH and Chair
of Singapore ACM SIGGRAPH Chapter ( 2002 visit
). He is a member of the International Teochew Doctors
Association and Tsinghua Alumni
Association (Singapore).
He is an editorial board member of the Journal of
Computer-Aided Design & Computer Graphics. He served as the Publication
co-chair of ISCSLP 2014, Sponsorship chair of ACM SIGGRAPH Asia 2012, Track
chair of Apsipa 2010, PC co-chair of ACM VRCAI 2008,
local chair of IEEE VR 2011, and PC member of conferences including CGI (2005,

He was the academic advisor to the NUS-SoC team for
the Imagine Cup Singapore National Champions 2005 (number 4 winner) and a judge
