Nitya LAKSHMANAN

Lecturer (Educator Track)


Dr. Nitya Lakshmanan is currently a Lecturer at the School of Computing, National University of Singapore. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala in 2008, Master's degree from Anna University, Chennai in 2011. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Ph.D. degree in 2022. Her thesis focuses on identifying side channels in modern wireless systems that can be exploited to violate user privacy. Her work has been acknowledged in the GSMA Hall of Fame for discovering a new security vulnerability involving mobile phones. She has worked for 5 years in engineering colleges in India and has prior experience in teaching networking and programming course.
