Research Fellows
Description
The Computer Science Department at the National University of Singapore (NUS) seeks Research Fellows in the area of system security.
Project Overview
The project aims to create automated solutions for malware source attribution, as it has become increasingly challenging for human analysts to analyse malware and identify its evolving trend and developers. This will help malware analysts and security response teams to understand the similarities in malware used across cyber-attacks more efficiently, and identify the attacker quickly. This project is a collaboration between Kaspersky Lab SIngapore Pte Ltd, the Singapore laboratory of Russia-headquartered cybersecurity and anti-virus provider, Kaspersky Lab, and the National University of Singapore.
Job Requirements
Applicants should have a demonstrated successful track-record of prior research work in related areas, such as in binary analysis, attack response, as well as learning techniques. Research Fellows (RFs) must hold a PhD in a relevant area.
Application Process
If interested, please send your application including a cover letter, CV and a brief statement of prior research to A/Prof Liang Zhenkai (liangzk@comp.nus.edu.sg). The initial term of appointment will be one year, extensible to longer terms upon satisfactory performance and availability of funding. Selected candidates will be offered competitive salaries and benefits, with suport to travel to conferences for dissemination of research results, and substantial freedom to build up a strong research profile of their own.
