Starting with Freshmen Camp, a series of orientation activities welcomes you into the NUS Computing community.

Learn how Computer Engineering graduate Arjo Chakravarty turned his interest in robotics into a real-world solution: improving the efficiency of search-and-rescue missions.

 

Working with Year 4 Computer Engineering student Xavier Lee and a team of peers, Arjo helped develop a system that deploys multiple robots to search in challenging environments such as underground caves.

NUS Computing freshmen embark on intergalactic adventures through Source Academy, an immersive online programming game developed by AAssociate Professor Martin Henz.

 

The Source Academy team was also awarded the faculty-wide Annual Digital Education Award (Team)  for AY2020/2021.



As part of the 17th School of Computing Term Project Showcase, a team of NUS Computing students, comprising Gabriel, Christian, and Thuya, and NUS Food Science & Technology student, Phillmont, developed FaceOff – a mobile game that that puts facial muscles to good use.

NUS Computing has its very own mascot called SoCCat (pronounced ‘socket’). The friendly feline usually appears at special events like Computing Day when she’s not busy charging herself with her USB tail.

Embark on life-changing overseas experiences.

Spend up to a year at an NUS Overseas College (NOC) — including Silicon Valley – where our students are in high demand. The programme counts Carousell co-founder (and Computer Engineering alumnus) Lucas Ngoo among its alumni.

 

You can also take part in student exchange programmes at universities in over 40 countries all over the world, or join summer/winter programme during the school holidays.

Here, you can create your very own start-up at our school-based incubator, learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, and be mentored by experienced founders.
