Dr. Bimlesh Wadhwa is a senior academic and educator with more than 35 years of experience in higher education and over 25 years of service at the National University of Singapore. Across a career spanning curriculum development, student life, teaching, and research, she has contributed to the advancement of academic programmes, student development, and inclusive educational practice. At the NUS School of Computing, she has played an important role in teaching and mentoring, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students and developing courses in software engineering, software design, interaction design, and information visualisation. Her work reflects a sustained commitment to shaping both the academic and broader developmental experiences of students. Dr. Wadhwa’s academic interests lie in software engineering, human-computer interaction, and computing education. Her research has addressed gender in HCI, user modelling, evaluation of health applications, and software design quality, and has been presented at venues such as FSE, ICSE workshops, and CHI. She has also contributed chapters to major scholarly reference volumes published by Wiley and Springer. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Wadhwa has been active in leadership and service that advance inclusion and community impact in computing. She is a founding member of the Centre for Computing for Social Good and Philanthropy at NUS, the initiator of Code for Community, Chair of ACM-W Asia Pacific, and founding advisor of Women in Tech (WiT) at NUS. She also serves as a Residence Fellow at Tembusu College, NUS.
