This course is part of the (SCTP) NUS Data Engineering Programme. Applicants are required to register for all SCTP courses.

Course Overview

This one-day course equips participants with the essential knowledge and skills of understanding and applying machine learning concepts and lifecycle. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, from problem definition and data preparation to model development and deployment. The course also covers data preprocessing and feature engineering, teaching participants how to prepare high-quality datasets for effective machine learning tasks. Additionally, participants will learn the process of developing and deploying machine learning models, ensuring they are optimised for performance, scalability, and real-world applications.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Gain a comprehensive understanding of machine learning concepts and lifecycle, including the stages from problem definition to model deployment
Develop skills in data preprocessing and feature engineering to prepare high-quality datasets for machine learning tasks
Learn the process of developing and deploying machine learning models, ensuring they are optimised for performance and scalability
