Course Overview

This two-day fundamental course provides participants with a foundation in the converging worlds of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. Moving beyond traditional theory, participants will experience the strategic cybersecurity mindset and learn how AI is reshaping both the threat landscape and defence strategies. The course is designed to empower participants to make informed risk-management decisions, blending foundational knowledge with hands-on labs where they will configure basic defences and interact with AI tools.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate the fundamentals of cybersecurity and the transformative role of AI in digital ecosystems
  • Understand the strategic cybersecurity mindset and the limitations of perimeter defences
  • Experiment with basic AI tools for security to understand their capabilities and risks in a corporate setting
  • Identify critical security controls and their impact on user experience and risk
  • Make informed decisions regarding data privacy and governance in an AI-enabled environment

Prerequisites

The minimum entry requirement is a general diploma.
