This course is part of the (SCTP) NUS AI Engineering Programme. Applicants are required to register for all SCTP courses.

Course Overview

This course provides an in-depth exploration of advanced language processing technologies. Participants will begin with an overview of large language models (LLMs) and their applications, followed by practical skills in prompt engineering. The course covers building chatbots, developing advanced LLM applications and Agentic Workflows. Through hands on projects and real-world examples, participants will gain the expertise to harness the power of LLMs for innovative applications across industries.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Gain a comprehensive overview of large language models and their diverse applications
Learn techniques to optimise inputs for enhanced model outputs
Develop functional chatbots to manage conversational tasks
Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for improved chatbot performance
Design workflows that autonomously leverage agentic LLM capabilities
