NUS Computing Dean Represents University at Sri Lanka’s National AI Expo

Professor Tulika Mitra, Dean of the National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Computing, represented the university as a distinguished keynote speaker at the Sri Lanka National AI Expo. In her address, she spoke on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education and innovation, emphasising the critical role universities play in shaping a digitally empowered future.

Held in Colombo, the National AI Expo convened policymakers, industry leaders, and academic experts to discuss the advancement of AI technologies and their potential to drive national development.

As part of the visit, Professor Mitra met with the Deputy Minister for Digital Economy to explore opportunities for collaboration between Singapore and Sri Lanka in areas such as AI capacity building, tech talent development, and digital transformation.

At NUS School of Computing, students are equipped with broad-based knowledge, deep technical expertise, and a lifelong learning mindset—preparing them to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven world.
