21 August 2025

We’re proud to celebrate Ruiwei Wang, PhD graduate from NUS Computing, for receiving the ACP Doctoral Research Award 2025 at the International Conference on Principles and Practice of Constraint Programming (CP 2025)!

His thesis introduced novel binary encodings and specialised consistency algorithms to efficiently solve non-binary ad-hoc constraints, challenging long-held assumptions in the field and outperforming state-of-the-art approaches. The work is both theoretically insightful and practically impactful, setting a new benchmark in constraint programming research.

This prestigious recognition highlights the strength of research at NUS Computing in advancing global breakthroughs in computer science.

Stay tuned for the research feature!
