29 May 2023 - Singapore Blockchain Innovation Programme (SBIP), hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Computing, and InterOpera have successfully completed a nine-month Proof of Concept (PoC) with InterOpera to develop a model of interoperability for regulated capital markets, to tackle cross-chain connectivity while automating regulatory requirements in capital markets. This potentially optimises existing capital market transactions by lowering operational costs, increasing market liquidity, and creating new investment options.

28 March 2023 – Lee Kong Chian Centennial Professor Ooi Beng Chin from the NUS School of Computing has been elected as Fellow of the prestigious Academy of Engineering, Singapore (SAEng) in February 2023. The SAEng serves as a think tank on engineering-related public policy and steers initiatives in the areas of strategic importance to Singapore so as to meet the challenges of the new millennium.

19 November 2019 – Computer Science PhD students Tran Duc Muoi and Wang Taining were conferred the 2019 Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA) Fellowship on 8 November. Muoi and Taining received their award at MSRA’s Academic Day 2019 event held at the MSRA headquarters in Beijing, China.
