About NUS Computing Ascent Prize

The NUS Computing Ascent Prize is a global award for exceptional early-career computing scholars whose work signals the potential to shape future directions in research. More than a one-time accolade, the Prize is designed as a platform for recognition, exchange and long-term engagement between rising scholars, the NUS Computing community and global experts.

Who We Are

School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS) is one of the leading computing schools in the world, with a strong commitment to research excellence, outstanding education and the cultivation of future leaders in computing. The Ascent Prize extends this mission by identifying exceptional early-career scholars globally and connecting them to a research environment that values bold ideas, rigorous thinking and real-world impact.

Why the Prize Matters

At NUS Computing, we believe that excellent research is shaped not only by technical depth, but also by the communities that enable new ideas to flourish. The Ascent Prize recognises scholars at a pivotal stage in their careers and creates space for dialogue with faculty, students and visiting leaders in Singapore. In doing so, it positions NUS Computing not only as a destination for talent, but also as a curator of future global research leaders.
