Team Kent Ridge secured 3rd place in the virtual category of ISC High Performance 2025 Student Cluster Competition

We’re thrilled to share that our High-Performance Computing (HPC) team, Team Kent Ridge, has secured 3rd place in the virtual category of the prestigious ISC High Performance 2025 Student Cluster Competition. This marks their second international accolade this academic year, reaffirming NUS Computing’s excellence in the field of high-performance computing.

Competing against 21 other top student teams from around the world, Team Kent Ridge was the only university from Singapore to win an award at ISC 2025. Their achievement highlights not only the students' technical skills and teamwork but also the strong mentorship from their advisors, Dr Cristina Carbunaru and Dr Sriram Sami.

In addition to this impressive result, we’re excited to announce that Team Kent Ridge has been selected to participate in the SC'25 Student Cluster Competition — one of only 8 teams globally chosen for this international event.

Organised as part of the renowned SC Conference series, the Student Cluster Competition challenges undergraduate teams to design, build, and run high-performance computing clusters capable of solving real scientific problems — all within tight power constraints and under the scrutiny of industry experts.

We congratulate the team and their advisors for their tireless effort, innovation, and for continuing to put NUS Computing on the global HPC map.
