Branding
Want to build a brand as big as Apple? Or Facebook…? Or perhaps “merely” Skype? Come and join as at this event.
First, some introduction to why we are doing this. Juzar, Martin and Pete, in their capacity as managers of SoC’s incubator, The Furnace, have noticed that many of our incubatees and other students are wrestling with branding issues. Other incubatees may currently be less aware of the need for branding, yet it’s a necessary piece of the startup puzzle, one which every new venture needs to tune into.
So we have arranged this event to help you. It will take the form of a talk and “masterclass” on branding for startups. In the masterclass section, three of our incubatees will present their company and its branding challenges to a branding expert and he will discuss their issues interactively with them, aiming to raise their awareness and improve their game.
But the event is not just for these three companies. It will be conducted in front of an audience consisting of our incubatees, students of our innovation classes and others. It’s open to anyone in School of Computing who is interested in how to turn a startup into a powerful brand. At the end of the session there will be an opportunity for all audience members to raise questions or discussion points about their own branding challenges.
The event will be conducted by branding maestro, Bernard Stringer. Bernard is a graduate ofOxford University with 10 years experience in branding. He was Head of Consulting for FutureBrand in Singapore, has run his own start-up brand consultancy and is currently Managing Partner of Hall & Partners Singapore, a global research company specialising in brand and communications.
We hope to see all our incubatees and other passionate entrepreneurs at the event!
