The School of Computing is pleased to support the launch of NUS’ NUS’ Centre for Computational Social Science and Humanities (CSSH) — a centre that brings computational approaches into closer dialogue with the social sciences and humanities.

CSSH reflects a shared commitment across NUS to deepen interdisciplinary research at the intersection of technology and society. By integrating computational methods with disciplinary expertise, the Centre enables new ways of examining complex social and cultural questions.

For the School of Computing, this initiative reflects the expanding role of computing in shaping research beyond traditional technical domains. Our faculty contribute expertise in data science, artificial intelligence, network analysis, and computational modelling — capabilities that strengthen research across fields.
