NUS Computing congratulates Professor Tan Kian Lee, Tan Sri Runme Shaw Senior Professor, on being named a 2025 ACM Fellow, by the Association for Computing Machinery.
The ACM Fellows programme recognises the top 1% of ACM members worldwide for outstanding achievements in computing. Professor Tan is cited for his contributions to query optimisation and processing for advanced database applications. He is among 71 professionals selected globally in 2025, representing leading universities, research institutions, and technology organisations across 14 countries.
This recognition reflects Professor Tan’s sustained contributions to database research and his role in advancing data management as a core area of computing.
