NUS Computing IAC member wins IT Leader of the Year award

5 April 2018 –NUS Computing’s Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) member Mr Eddie Chau was conferred the title of Singapore Computer Society (SCS)’s 2018 IT Leader of the Year on 9 March.

Mr Chau received the award at the SCS Gala Dinner, which Minister for Communications and Information Dr Yaacob Ibrahim graced as Guest-of-Honour. The prestigious IT Leader of the Year award honours a leader in the infocomm and digital media field for his/her significant innovations to the field and outstanding contributions to Singapore’s infocomm and media development.

A member of the current 2017-2019 IAC, Mr Chau has served as a committee member for the IAC since 2006. The advisory committee is made up of prominent infocomm leaders in both the private and public sectors who provide NUS Computing management with industry insights, practices and trends that help shape the school’s directions and policies.

With more than three decades of experience as a leader and pioneer in Singapore’s tech entrepreneurship scene, Mr Chau is currently the co-founder and chairman of V-Key Inc, a software based digital security provider that delivers advanced mobile application security solutions to millions of mobile applications and transactions around the world. He is an investor and a highly sought-after mentor and advisor for startups, having founded four other successful startups – e-Cop, Brandtology, Neeuro and Spini. He is also the co-founding partner of TNF Ventures, a startup incubator to groom the next generation of tech entrepreneurs.
