SoC Pay-It-Forward Bursary

About this Fund

The SoC Pay-It-Forward Bursary was established in 2013 by a group of five long-serving faculty members, who are also alumni.

In 2014, Ms Wendy Soh, in remembrance of her late brother Mr Soh Chim Poh, pledged a gift of $100,000 towards the setting up of a bursary in his name. In giving to the School of Computing, Ms Wendy Soh hopes that, besides paying tribute to her brother, needy students who wish to pursue a career in IT can be given a chance to do so.

In recognition of this additional gift of $100,000 towards the SoC Pay-It-Forward Bursary, sub-named bursaries are established. Future donors who contribute $25,000 or more towards this Bursary will also have the opportunity to establish a sub-named bursary.
