12 students from the NUS School of Computing (SoC) proudly represented Singapore at the SEA Games 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand – demonstrating exceptional dedication as they balanced national-level competition with their academic commitments at SoC, supported by faculty and peers along the way.

The School of Computing is pleased to support the launch of NUS' NUS' Centre for Computational Social Science and Humanities (CSSH) — a centre that brings computational approaches into closer dialogue with the social sciences and humanities.

When 800 participants gather with laptops, soldering irons and a single question: what can we build? The answer is never just one thing. Hack&Roll 2026, the flagship annual hackathon organised by NUS Hackers, returned this January for its 15th edition, bringing together builders from across Singapore’s tech community for 24 hours of open-ended experimentation, creativity and problem-solving.

During NeurIPS week on 4 December, NUS Computing hosted its first network session and reception in San Diego, bringing together researchers, industry leaders, and partners for an evening of exchange and connection.

When the first notes filled the seminar room at Innovation 4.0, the atmosphere shifted — from quiet anticipation to shared curiosity. The Sound and Music Computing for Human Health & Potential Seminar & Concert 2025 (SMC4HHP) brought together students, staff, and friends of NUS School of Computing for an afternoon that celebrated the harmony between technology and creativity, and the power of human connection through sound. 

NUS and IBM today launched the IBM-NUS Research and Innovation Center, marking a new chapter in research collaboration focused on advancing AI, quantum computing, and sustainable computing systems. 

Team Bumblebee hosted their Appreciation Night to thank sponsors and partners who have supported the team throughout their journey. The event celebrated the team’s milestones and accomplishments, made possible through strong partnerships and support.

Today, Professor Tulika Mitra, Dean of NUS Computing, delivered a presentation on open ecosystem for energy-efficient AI accelerators at the IBM Research Day with NUS — an event organised by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in collaboration with IBM Research and the National University of Singapore (NUS). She was among the distinguished speakers who shared their perspectives at the event.

A team of NUS School of Computing (SoC) students, assembled by the Centre for Computing for Social Good and Philanthropy (CCSGP), competed in the 3rd annual Dell InnovateFest Hackathon on 29 August.
