NUS Computing students made a strong showing at this year’s Codechella Tour: Singapore – a nationwide innovation festival hosted by ChatAndBuild that brought together more than 200 students from 10 universities to build AI-driven solutions for real-world needs.

Yuexi developed a new language for tennis strategy analysis, mapping tennis games to chess games based on their structural similarities. Her paper, “TANS, A Chess-Inspired Notation System for System Analysis of Tennis Games”, received the Distinguished Paper Award at the 2nd International Sports Analytics Conference and Exhibition 2025 (ISACE’25) held in Shanghai.

Two students from the NUS School of Computing have put Singapore on the global entrepreneurship map. Tew Jing An, a Year 1 Computer Science student, and Chong Kai Jie, a Year 2 Computer Engineering student, are co-founders of Stick ‘Em — an education technology startup that clinched the prestigious 2025 Hult Prize and its US$1 million seed funding at the Global Finals in London.
