MSc in Digital Financial Technology - Admission Requirements

Important: The University has not engaged any external agencies to undertake graduate student recruitment on its behalf. Admission Criteria

For the upcoming intake, only full-time student will be admitted. Part-time students may be admitted for the future cohorts.

MSc in Digital Financial Technology is a new programme suitable for candidates with passion in learning FinTech subjects. The minimum requirement is that the candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (computing, STEM, Finance, economics, or business).

Typical admitted candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computing with high GPA/CAP; or
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (STEM, Finance, economics, or business) with high GPA and 2 years of FinTech or IT industry experience.
  • A good bachelor's degree in computing with strong FinTech or IT project or work experience.

Work experiences in FinTech, AI, or Data Analytics will be advantageous but are not required. Since a large proportion of our curriculum involves programming, non-computing students must provide sufficient evidence of python programming knowledge and/or evidence of learning advanced quantitative subjects. Exceptional students who do not meet the above requirements may still be considered.


International applicants* are to submit GRE/ GMAT/ TOEFL/ IELTS test scores as evidence which demonstrates their academic and language ability and readiness for graduate study. Candidates may be required to sit for other tests as prescribed by the School.

Candidates who have graduated from Indian universities may submit GATE scores instead.

Candidates should have a minimum GRE score of 320 (verbal & quantitative) and 3.5 (analytical), or a GMAT score of 650 and above. The minimum TOEFL scores for Internet Based Test (IBT) is 90; or IELTS score of 6.0. GRE and TOEFL scores will be valid for 5 years and 2 years respectively.
