When Davidson Chua (Class of 2026, BSc in Business Analytics) first joined the NUS Venture Initiation Programme (VIP@SoC), he was working on his first serious attempt at building a startup. The idea focused on helping car sellers compare offers more transparently, and while the venture eventually took a different path, the experience became a crucial starting point in his entrepreneurial journey.

Eu En Wong was tutoring General Paper to a hundred students at one point. He wanted to give each of them proper feedback — the kind that is specific enough to act on, personal enough to land. At that scale, there simply was not enough of him to go around. That experience became the founding logic of Ren.
