4 March 2019 – Associate Professor He Bingsheng was announced as one of five recipients of the inaugural 2019 IEEE TPDS Award for Editorial Excellence on 8 February 2019.

The award is given out to outstanding IEEE TPDS Associate Editors for their exceptional contribution to the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems. Recipients of this award are chosen based on a number of factors, which include the numbers of papers they have handled in the past year, the review quality of the papers, and the amount of time they take to review the papers.

This is the second time A/P He has won an award for his editorial work in the past two months. He received the Editorial Excellence and Eminence (EEE) award for his role as Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing (TCC) journal in early January this year.

The IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (TPDS) is a distinguished research journal for parallel and distributed systems. The journal publishes papers in parallel and distributed algorithms, applications of parallel and distributed computing, and parallel and distributed architecture. The monthly journal currently has 50 Associate Editors and is led by the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor-in-Chief.

“It is an honour to receive this award just one month after receiving another editorial excellence award for my work as associate editor in the IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing journal,” said A/P He. “These awards are a recognition of my work and I am thankful to receive these accolades from two of the most distinguished IEEE journals in my research field.”
