NUS DISA Ranked 4th Worldwide in Information Systems Research
The Department of Information Systems and Analytics (DISA) at NUS Computing has been ranked 4th worldwide for research publications in Information Systems Research (ISR) and MIS Quarterly (MISQ) – the two most prestigious A+ journals in the field.
The result comes from the latest Association for Information Systems (AIS) Research Rankings, which evaluate scholarly output across a rolling three-year window.
The 2023-2025 edition places DISA among the top four departments globally, a significant climb from previous years.
The rise is consistent across multiple measures. When assessed on adjusted publication counts across MISQ, ISR, and JAIS (Journal of the Association for Information Systems) – which apportion credit based on institutional affiliation – DISA ranked 6th globally in the 2023–2025 three-year window and 9th globally over the 2021–2025 five-year period, up from 15th and 18th respectively.
Professor Goh Khim Yong, Head of DISA at NUS Computing, said the results reflect years of sustained effort across the department.
“These latest AIS research rankings reflect our Department’s continued commitment to research excellence and scholarly impact in the Information Systems field. We are proud of this achievement which underscores the dedication of our faculty members in DISA to advancing research and knowledge in our discipline.”
The achievement reinforces NUS Computing’s standing as a leading global hub for Information Systems research and scholarship.
