NUS Computing Information Session Welcomes Prospective Students Across CS and DISA
NUS Computing hosted its Information Session for prospective students on 9 May, welcoming close to 400 attendees across both the Computer Science (CS) and Department of Information Systems and Analytics (DISA) tracks.
The morning CS session and afternoon DISA session saw our lecture theatres filled with students as they gathered to learn more about the programmes and community.

The sessions opened with welcome addresses, followed by student-led sharings and interactive activities organised by the Computing Club. These segments offered a glimpse into student life on campus, from academic experiences to opportunities beyond the classroom.

A key highlight for many was the fireside chat sessions, where our Dean, Prof Tulika Mitra, faculty members, alumni, and industry speakers came together for engaging open Q&A discussions with prospective students. The morning CS session featured Mr Willis Lim (Executive Director, CyberSG TIG) and alumni (Tay Yangshun & Zhao Cong) while the afternoon DISA session welcomed Mr Ivan Ng (Chief Technology Officer, City Developments Limited) & Alumni (Tan Jun Bin) as panelists. Questions ranged from curriculum and career pathways to internships and industry experiences. Many participants stayed on after to continue the conversations.

The day also included networking over lunch and afternoon tea, giving prospective students the chance to connect directly with faculty, student ambassadors, and peers in a more informal setting. Industry partners including DSTA and PSA were also present to share more about scholarship and internship opportunities.
The strong turnout and level of engagement reflected a shared interest in understanding both the academic journey and the community at NUS Computing.
The School will continue engaging prospective and admitted students through upcoming sessions in the coming weeks.
