NUS School of Computing Master’s Students Shine at AI Innovation Challenge 2026
The NUS–Synapxe–IMDA AI Innovation Challenge 2026 brought together 880 participants from 18 institutions to tackle a question at the heart of modern healthcare: how can artificial intelligence improve early detection, diagnosis, and continuous care for chronic diseases?
Among a strong and competitive field, students from the NUS School of Computing (SoC) swept all the top awards – with every winning team coming from our Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) and Master of Computing in Artificial Intelligence (MComp AI) programmes.
Our Winning Teams

🏆 Champion: ASSURE (NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics)
ASSURE Team built AssureCare Suite, an AI-enabled home monitoring platform that supports elderly cardiac patients recovering between clinical visits. Through voice-enabled daily check-ins, proactive alerts, and coordinated caregiver oversight, the system supports earlier intervention and continuous care beyond hospital walls.

🥈1st Runner-Up: SilverGait (NUS Master of Computing in Artificial Intelligence & Master of Science in Business Analytics)
Team SilverGait created a multi-modal, agentic AI system that enables early detection and ongoing monitoring of frailty in elderly adults, delivering personalised interventions to support proactive, community-based preemptive care.

🥉2nd Runner-Up: Med-SEAL (NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics)
Team Med-SEAL designed an AI-powered diagnostic support platform that streamlines clinical workflows through automated preliminary reporting, while empowering patients with clear, culturally relevant insights into their results, enabling more coordinated, patient-centred care.

🌟NMLP Special Prize: Wait For A Name (NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics)
Team Wait For A Name developed VitalSense, a privacy-first, multi-modal AI platform that enables rapid health screening using everyday devices. Users can complete a structured assessment in under five minutes with just a webcam, microphone, and self-reported vitals, supporting early risk awareness without a clinic visit.
Shaping the Future of Healthcare with AI
These results are a credit to the students – their technical skills, their willingness to tackle complex healthcare problems, and their ability to build solutions that work beyond the lab. They also reflect the kind of applied, interdisciplinary thinking that SoC’s graduate programmes aim to nurture.
We extend our warmest congratulations to all our winning teams and participants. Your creativity, dedication, and commitment to solving real-world problems continue to inspire, and we look forward to seeing the impact you will make in the future.
